The Blum Initiative supports innovative, high impact research by UCR faculty and graduate students across a range of disciplines. To-date, our Faculty Seed Research and Graduate Student Research grants have generated exciting research related to family economic insecurity in Indonesia, education along the California-Mexico border, sex work among undocumented/potentially trafficked workers in Southern California, support for universal basic income, and the effects of economic inequality on education, among other topics.
